There are a few reds; can't say I've ever seen pink. Linnen is probably the closest to a dull pink. Nothing hot pink that's for sure.

Samantha, oh my; tough question.

I can't say I have a favorite color; as soon as I start liking one, another comes along I like better. I'm gemini so I'm entitled two colors, but I can't even narrow it down to two. Red has always had my interest, I have a blue, and I also like the green.

What's your favorite?

Okay Sanny; I'm with ya, different sandbox. I'll go for that; buy my oh my there are a lot of places to play.

The gallery however could use a few more pictures of KK's. And with their tops on! My godness; where's their tops! Lots of forum pictures are topless.

Cheers,
Johnnyboy

Surprised my comment has gone so long without response. Just in case my fun with words went misunderstood; seriously, I'm wondering why so many KK pictures are taken without the top damper on?

Okay, so I'm weird.

Don't know for sure, but I'll take a crack at it.

I'll assume you are referring to the photos by Dennis of stock cookers. The KK is shipped without the top damper in place, I suspect the photos are taken just before shipping and no one really thought about it. I think the purpose of most of the photos are for color/cooker choosing, not really marketing, those all have tops on!

You're prolly right, Fetzervalve. Considering they're shipped without their tops; makes perfect sense they're not on. Putting them on would add unnecessary effort to take them off again.

Covers

Postby Central Pork » Jun 19th, '07, 05:06

Hey Guys,
I have a Gen II OTB on the way and was wondering if should hold off getting a cover until the side tables are ready so that Johnnyboy can make one that fits the whole assembly. I assume the grill can stand on its own in the rain until this happens?

If you are planning to add the side tables, I would wait on the cover. Johnnyboy will probably need a couple of measurements once you get the tables installed. One word of advice, don't get elastic at the bottom. I got it and then disabled it as it was too difficult to remove and install the cover and there is no way anything less than a hurricane or tornado will get that cover off even without the elastic. :stickman:

Mine has elastic. Maybe because it's nice and loose I have no trouble at all. But you're right - nice snug fit. :)

Ok - Will wait on cover

Postby Central Pork » Jun 19th, '07, 09:27

Will wait on the cover then, and get no elastic when I do. But are you also saying the thing will do fine in the rain without a cover in the meantime? Dumb question, I am sure, but just want to doublecheck.

Just got my OBT Gen II in today, so I will match up the dimensions of the new one with the posted old ones. Been talking to Johnnyboy so he knows the scoop. Also will get Dennis to confirm the information and he is also working on getting the side table additional dimensions for us now.

Yup, the grout is already sealed, the cooker is cured and pre-smoked. It'll take rain just fine. It's a durable thing!

We just all like Johnnyboy's Jammies so much, that we insist on them! :) They're wonderful.

And besides, when you've spent all that on a cooker, why not snuggle it in a jammy so the birdies cannot put deposits on it? Hey, birdies! It's NOT for sale! So keep yer deposits to yourselves!

Umm, because it's a piece of art that should be displayed to the world at all times in its full glory???? ;)
