Am I Crazy ?

Hello. I am new to this Forum. I already own two Big Green Eggs, a Large and an XL. I am considering adding to the Kamado Family by getting a Komodo Kamado. To me they are like a piece of art as well. I enjoy my EGGs but the KK is another animal. Yes it does the same thing as my BGEs. I just wonder is it overkill do get KK ? My wife doesn't get it, then again it was like climbing a mountain to get my first BGE, the XL.

Any encouragement will be helpful.

Can't speak to the green eggs but I love the KK. Sounds like you already took the bait, just a matter of time before Dennis reels you in. I have no regrets.

Get the KK. Keep one BGE as your secondary cooker for big parties. You may have a low and slow going in the KK while you need to grill some corn or something like that simultaneously. And sell or give away the other BGE.

I took the bait. Saw the KK on the net while looking at the bge about couple of months ago. Attracted to the KK for its unique item, good addition to my backyard. I never smoked anything until I got the KK last friday....Simply AWESOME!

It's a matter of time if you have gotten this far....

My wife wouldnt let a green egg anywhere near our home...aesthetics.....thank goodness we all have these works of art that also happen to allow us boys and girls to cook some great food. My metallic bronze KK is a people magnet every time we have a party, a great conversation piece, and excellent food to boot. I'm really thinking hard about a second KK.

I have two homes; one in Austin, TX and one in Broomfield, CO. I had a large BGE in each home. Now I have a 23" KK in each home and I sold the BGEs. That should tell you something. There is no comparison in terms of the way each looks and cooks. My KKs are DYNOMITE!!

I have the xl bge, and once I used the kk, I don't even want to take the cover off of the bge. The kk is such a different animal, you WILL NOT be disappointed that you got it. GET IT NOW!!!

I guess I need to update my Profile. I got my KK this past March.
I have used my BGE XL 2x since I have had the KK.
